How to Find The Best Steak Restaurant

You’re driving around your area and you pass by a restaurant where the smell of sizzling steak wafts out to greet your nose.  You start craving that delicious red meat, but you don’t to waste your money on a so-so dinner.  So how to find the best steak restaurant in your town when there are literally hundreds of places to choose from?  There are several different ways to find a great meal and we will touch on just a few of them here.

One of the most common ways is to search the internet.  If you google “steak restaurants near me”, the internet will come up with several in your area.  Each listing takes several elements into consideration and will help you on how to find the best steak restaurant in your area. These factors include the following: star ratings, prices and reviews.  Every restaurant has a 1 to 5-star rating meaning that if you want the best tasting food and customer service, you look for a 5-star restaurant.  Of course, if you want that kind of a rating, you are also likely to pay for a 5-star rating, meaning that of course the prices will be much higher.  Fortunately, the general costs of the restaurant are also listed by dollar signs.  You can find this by the dollar sign ($) listed next to the ratings.  The prices range from one to four dollar signs: one ($) meaning the least expensive with four ($$$$) dollar signs being the most expensive.  Every restaurant will also have reviews and you should glance through some of these so you can get a feel for the place before you make your choice.

Or we can always go the old-fashioned route of how to find the best steak restaurant and simply ask your neighbors, co-workers, friends and locals who live in the area. People will always have their own opinions of what tastes good to them, but by asking just a handful of people, you will usually get a general consensus of what the best place is in your area.  If you are new to the area, this is one of the best ways to kill two birds with one stone.  Talking about food is a topic most people enjoy and a great ice breaker.  Generally, people love to be asked about their advice, so asking which of the restaurants in town offers the best steak is a great conversation starter.

If you don’t want to go to the work of asking lots of people, then using restaurant apps on your phone is one of the easiest ways to explore how to find the best steak restaurant.  There are several apps to choose from, but some of the most-used restaurant apps are Yelp, Foursquare, Happy Hour Finder, OpenTable, Zomato and more.  These companies have already done all the work for you by collecting and analyzing ratings and reviews from many customers.  They also will keep on top of the trends by offering you information on the newest restaurants that have opened in the area.  Each of the apps are structured a little differently, but essentially, you start with the meal you are looking for (breakfast, lunch or dinner) and then start typing in what you are hungry for.  With Foursquare you would type “dinner” and then “steak” and a thousand lines of computer programming will almost instantly find you the best steakhouses within the distance you indicated.

When searching for a great steak restaurant, you also need to keep this in mind: what do you consider a great steak?  Do you like them thick and juicy and cooked rare?  Or do you like a highly-seasoned thin cut cooked until there isn’t a hint of red anywhere?  Or maybe you like your steak marinated and cut into bite-sized pieces?  Or maybe you don’t know and it’s time to find out!  One of the most enjoyable ways to find out is to sample steaks at several different restaurants.  In your quest to find the best steak restaurant in town, consider the suggestions listed above.  Your mouth will soon be watering as a hot-off-the-grill piece of good old-fashioned red steak is delivered to your table.  So, are you hungry yet?
